SPICED APPLE OATS

*vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free friendly

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • splash of vanilla

  • dash of salt

  • 1 cup of oats

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 cup of almond milk

Directions:

  1. Dice your apple and add pieces to a pot over medium heat.

  2. Pour in maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Combine and let sauté.

  3. When the apple are sautéed, add your oats, water, and almond milk.

  4. Stir and let cook until the texture is desired consistency.

  5. When cooked, add to a bowl and top with your favorite toppings. I topped mine with more sautéed apples, raw apples, pumpkin seeds, and almond butter!

  6. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • If you want your oats to be more creamy, substitute the 1 cup water for 2 cups of almond milk!
