EASY HONEY OATMEAL

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups water

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup steel cut oats

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp butter

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • fruit

  • granola

Directions:

  1. Over medium to high heat, add milk and water to a sauce pan and bring to boil.

  2. Once boiling, add oats and salt.

  3. Return the mixture to a steady boil, then immediately reduce the heat to low and let simmer.

  4. Let oats simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally (the time depends on how thick and creamy you want your oats).

  5. Add butter, stir in, and then let sit for a few minutes to thicken.

  6. Remove from stove and add oatmeal to a bowl.

  7. Top with fresh honey, granola, and fruit.

  8. Enjoy!
